Wood Racking Components

Individual Bottle Racking

Individually racked wine bottles are considered the best way to store wine. This type of racking allows the consistent airflow to circulate completed around each cradled bottled. These can also be ordered to be built with earthquake protection. While being the best way to store your wine, luckily, it is the least expensive component in your cellar!

Lighted High Reveal Display

This component shows your labels while still keeping the corks wet. Hidden rope lighting behind the trim warms up the wood while showing off your best wines. It also helps to organize your cellar by putting this particular varietal either above or below in individual racking.

Diamond Bins
(Optional Trim not shown)

Diamond bins are always a dramatic and often requested feature to any cellar it is the most expensive way to store your wine due to the amount of solid redwood needed. While it does not allow airflow as much as other cellar components, it does accommodate all sizes of bottles from half bottles to magnums.

Rectangular Bins

Each cubicle is designed to hold 12 single deep standard Bordeaux or Burgundies or 23 double deep. (Due to different ceiling heights, some rectangular bins may be a non-standard size at the top.) This component is very cost effective and provides space for many different bottles sizes and shapes.

Quarter Round
Display Cabinets

Quarter Round Display Cabinets make a dramatic sweeping transition on double deep corners between straight sections of racks for those who want their bottles on display. Also features 2 rows of lighted high reveal racking.
Waterfall Display

Let your finest wines cascade down this dramatic peninsula provided your cellar is wide enough. This waterfall feature ends with a decanting table and latticed wood case storage below.

Built-in Table With Arched Top

Add a touch of class to your cellar dramatic arches which are also used as decanting areas.

This latticed arch features a bronze mirror in the arch which warms up the redwood and adds depth and style to the room.
This is a vertical lattice arch with a bronze mirror behind making the room appear larger and reflecting the rest of the cellar racking.

This client's archway was specially made to fit the Italian tile scene they would be bringing back from their trip to Tuscany. It also includes a stemware holder to keep their glasses chilled.

This solid arch features puck lighting above arch and above glass shelves.

Note: background wall is painted too light of a color.

Vertical Display Shelves

These cellars show non-adjustable vertical display bottles in the champagne size. A nice application to show off your labels, especially nice in a restaurant cellar!

The cellar below shows another use for the narrow vertical shelves. This is shown at the end of a wall next to the door as you enter.

Vertical Display Cabinet (Adjustable)

This is a large bottle adjustable vertical display cabinet, bottles stacking horizontally.

Display your finest wines dramatically for all to see. This attractive cabinet( large bottle format) fits in those shallow spots where there is not enough depth for standard racking.

Diamond Cubes (Option trim not shown)

Diamond cube components are a beautiful addition to a cellar. It can be made to size, mostly to fit 6 bottles in each compartment or 2 cases per bin.

Quarter Round Shelves

This component is a nice end to a wall of racking and acts as a nice transition upon entry to the cellar as opposed to a squared off wall. Note the beautiful true radius base and crown molding. This piece acts as a place to put your decanter collection, ice buckets, hygrometer/thermometer, or feature your favorite wine for the evening.

This photo also features a Quarter Round Shelf on end of row; Adjustable Wood Case Storage, Radius Corner, Lighted Display Row, Glass Rack Decanting area and Individual bottle racking.

True Radius Curved Corner

This cellar has a ceiling soffit with the racking nicely tucked underneath. Also shown is a half quarter round cabinet next to a countertop with an arched window looking into the home. Underneath the countertop are adjustable case storage cabinets. Note the true radius cut racking follows the lines of the ceiling soffit.

Wood Cases (Lattice)

Wood cases single deep are stored with the wide side showing. Double deep you still have only one box per cubical, but the short monogrammed side faces out. This is a latticed non-adjustable wood case storage style, however, more common would be solid cabinet sides and solid adjustable or non-adjustable shelves.

Wood Cases (Solid Adjustable

These adjustable wood cases allow for many different size wood cases.  Shelves can also double as a place for your stemware, decanters, etc.

Unique Options

This client wanted to showcase his collection of magnums with high reveal lighted display racks.

This wine cellar used the "waterfall" feature down the side of a wall adjacent to the entry to the cellar for a unique design effect.

An Interesting Ceiling Option

This is a trellis ceiling made of redwood strips and silk grapevines. This serves as a beautiful cover for a commercial split system with a ceiling mounted evaporated/fan without blocking any airflow.

Our experts can work with you to design a great cellar to
fit your space and budget requirements.
